buildOn Releases Report About the Impact of Five New Schools

MishaMalyshev

buildOn has released a report thanking Misha Malyshev and outlining the impact funding and volunteer hours can have on breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations.

Misha Malyshev and Teza Technologies have enjoyed a successful partnership with buildOn that has impacted the lives of many students, teachers and parents. A $150,000 donation by Misha and his wife has resulted in the building of five schools, two in Africa and three in Central America.

The two Central American schools were built in Nicaragua, one of which was in the Jiquelito Village.

“ It will be a 100% turnaround. We were at a very low point with the old school. With this school there’s going to be a big change, we’ll have a good structure, which we didn’t have, plus the kids will be able to study comfortably. As a community we wished for a school with these features and of this quality for a long time. We wanted somebody, anybody to help us: the government or someone else. Thank God we could fulfill this dream with the help of buildOn. All the villagers and the teachers are really excited about this project.”

– Francisco Ramón Zeledón Aráuz, 33 years old, Village Leader

The three African schools were built in Malawi across three villages. The photo below shows the school before and after in Nthumbo Village.

$150,000 Donation by Misha Malyshev, and His Wife Oksana Malysheva Helps to Build Five New Schools in Africa and Central America

From buildOn:

buildOn today announced that the $150,000 donation it received from Teza Technologies CEO Misha Malyshev and his wife, Oksana Malysheva, has resulted in the completion of five schools in Malawi and Nicaragua. The schools are providing more than 2,100 children in rural villages with a clean, safe place to learn. Additionally, through a partnership with each village, buildOn is ensuring that at least half of the schools’ students are female.

“Education is what allows people to move forward and create opportunities for themselves, their families and communities,” said Malyshev. “My wife and I, and my firm, are strong supporters of buildOn’s mission and we are delighted to see that these five schools have been completed.”
