Dr. Misha Malyshev is the CEO of Teza Technologies. Teza was founded in 2009 and is comprised of widely recognized experts in quantitative trading.
Misha earned his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Princeton University in 1998. He also holds degrees of M.S. in Theoretical Physics and B.S. summa cum laude in Physics and Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Misha worked for Bell Labs conducting scientific research until 2000 and then worked as a consultant with McKinsey & Company until 2003, working for asset management and investment banking clients.
Misha is an active philanthropist, working specifically with educational initiatives. He serves on the global leadership council of buildOn, an international nonprofit organization that runs youth service after-school programs in United States high schools and builds schools in developing countries. He is actively involved with After School Matters, sitting on the advisory board. He is also, along with Teza, an active supporter of After-School All-Stars and the Adler Planetarium.
